Final Major Project: Fortnum & Mason Hamper Design

The final major project had a brief that entailed the creation of a selection of limited edition, themed hampers, which contain matching designed food and drink items, from a provided list of themes. The client was the producer of the world renowned hampers, Fortnum & Mason.

I chose to work with exploration theme. Drawing inspiration from the rivalry between the river Nile explorers - Richard Burton & John Speke, I created a Rival Explorers food hamper.

The hamper contains a pair of each food item with contrasting flavors and the picnic basket has two distinct sections. Here are the outcomes...

Self Promotion

The self-promotion module entailed creating a logo and the collateral that goes along with it. I developed the personal logo, business card, letterhead and a 3D promotional mailer pack. This piece below is for the 3D pack that contains the business card, CD portfolio and brief portfolio foldout.

Phobias Brief

These designs were developed in response to a loose brief of phobias. The requirement was to select 4 phobias and create a contextualized visual. I developed movie posters and print adverts for a health digest magazine.

Chronometrophobia (fear of clocks) and Octophobia (fear of number 8) developed as movie posters.

Concepts for Elurophobia (fear of cats) & Cryophobia (fear of extreme cold, ice or frost) developed as print adverts for a health digest magazine.

YCN Competition Brief - P&O Ferries

The primary message to convey in this brief was that P&O is the best travel option compared to low cost airlines. That the negative connotations of ferry travel are not true when it comes to P&O.
